چکیده مقاله

This research aimed to synthesize and characterize novel nanocomposites based on a poly(ether-imide) matrix reinforced with an iron-based metal-organic framework (Fe-MIL-88NH₂). The synthesis involved the preparation of a novel dimethylphenyl-functionalized tetraamine monomer, which was subsequently employed to fabricate a new poly(ether-imide). The Fe-MIL-88NH₂ MOF was synthesized via a two-step reaction. Finally, two nanocomposite films were fabricated by incorporating 3 % and 5 % weight fractions of the Fe-MIL-88NH₂ nanoparticles into the poly(ether-imide) matrix. The structure and properties of the synthesized nanocomposites were characterized using Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The analytical results demonstrated a significant enhancement in the thermal stability of the nanocomposites relative to the neat poly(ether-imide) matrix. Furthermore, analysis of the FE-SEM images captured from both the cross-section and surface of the nanocomposite films indicates that the Fe-MIL-88NH₂ nanoparticles were well-dispersed within the poly(ether-imide) matrix at both the 3 wt% and 5 wt% loadings.
