Abstract

In this research the magnetite ferrofluid Fe3O4 were synthesized by the traditional wet chemistry coprecipitation method. The nanoparticles were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) analyzes. The nanoparticle sizes were obtained from Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) analysis. The magnetic behavior of sample were studied by vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) at room temperature and 80 K. Experimental results indicate that the sample was single phase andsuperparamagnetic with roughly spherical shape. With decreasing the temperature of ferrofluid magnetic softness decreases and anisotropy increases.
